ServicesSubstantive editing, sometimes known as
content editing or developmental editing, includes not only the
basic review for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to
style and standards, but also an evaluation of structure,
consistency, organization, flow, logic, vocabulary, audience
appropriateness, completeness and clarity. We perform substantive
editing on an electronic version of the document, using Microsoft
Word's Tracking Changes feature. Rates
Copyediting includes a review for
spelling, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style and
standards, and an evaluation of writing technique. A completed
copyedit includes a written critique of the manuscript and a list of
repetitive errors. We perform copyediting on a hard copy of the
document, using standard copyediting symbols. The author or in-house
editor produces the final, corrected copy. Rates
Proofreading includes a review of
spelling, capitalization, word usage, and punctuation, and
eliminates gross grammatical errors and formatting inconsistencies.
Proofreading is usually performed on a document that has already
been edited as a final step prior to publication. We use standard
proofreading marks unless you provide other

user guides, manuals, brochures, reference materials, textbooks,
specifications, white papers, online help and other documents
related to science and technology. We have experience working with
